The body of a prominent female social media influencer, Kanchan alias Kamal, a resident of Laxman Nagar, Ludhiana, was discovered inside her own car, which was found parked in the lot of Adesh Medical University in Bathinda. The shocking discovery has sent ripples across the social media community, with police launching a detailed investigation and suspecting murder.

Kanchan, believed to be in her early to mid-30s, was widely known as "Kamal Kaur Bhabhi" and "Kamal Kaur Live" on Instagram, boasting over 3.8 lakh followers. She was popular for her reels, some of which were controversial and included double-entendre content.

Details of the Discovery and Police Investigation:

The gruesome discovery was made after a foul odor emanated from the parked car, prompting local residents and hospital staff to alert the authorities. Police arrived at the scene and found Kanchan's body in the back seat of the car. Preliminary investigations suggest the death occurred 24 to 48 hours before the body was found, indicating a possible murder.

Superintendent of Police (City) Narinder Singh stated that due to advanced decomposition, immediate identification of injury marks was not possible, and the body has been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause and time of death.

According to Kanchan's mother, she had left home on June 9, informing her family that she was going to Bathinda for a promotional event. She subsequently lost contact with them.

CCTV footage from the parking lot shows a turbaned person driving Kanchan's car into the university parking lot on the early morning of June 10, parking it, and then leaving on foot. Police sources indicate that the car found with the body bore a fake number plate, suggesting that the murder might have taken place elsewhere, and the body was later dumped in the vehicle at this location.

A murder case has been registered, and police are actively examining CCTV footage from surrounding areas, analyzing mobile tower location data, and tracing the movement of the car. They are also investigating any recent threats or disputes in her personal or professional life.

Prior Threat from Terrorist Arsh Dalla:

A significant aspect of the ongoing investigation is a past threat received by Kanchan. Approximately seven months ago, an audio clip went viral in which Canada-based Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Singh Gill, alias Arsh Dalla, was heard threatening Kamal Kaur. In the audio, Dalla accused her of posting "filth" on social media, claiming she was spoiling the youth of Punjab, and even threatened to harm her family if she continued. While the threat was widely circulated, it's reported that no formal complaint was registered by Kanchan at that time.

The police are now investigating whether there is any link between these prior threats and her untimely death. Kanchan's demise has sent shockwaves through her large online following and the wider influencer community, raising concerns about the safety of social media personalities.
