Sanjan Ganeshan on Wedding with Jasprit Bumrah: After a brilliant performance in the Test series against England, the situation is not clear about Bumrah's playing in the next match. He had created a winning situation for India by taking 5 wickets in the first innings of the first match. Now his wife Sanjana Ganeshan has revealed that Jasprit was once going to elope and get married.
Sanjan Ganeshan on Wedding with Jasprit Bumrah: Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah not only clean bowls the batsmen with his dangerous yorkers, but he himself was once clean bowled in love. In a recent interview, his wife Sanjana Ganeshan revealed that before marriage, Bumrah had asked her to elope and get married. Bumrah and Sanjana got married in March 2021 and the pair is well liked in the cricket world. Now that Bumrah is playing in the ongoing Test series against England, this personal anecdote has brought an interesting glimpse for his fans. In the first Test, Bumrah performed brilliantly by taking five wickets, but the situation is not clear yet about his playing in the second Test.
This interesting incident came to light during Harbhajan Singh and his wife Geeta Basra's show 'Who is the Boss'. Bumrah was seen participating in the show with his wife. In this video viral on social media, Sanjana jokingly said, "Jaspreet once said that let's elope and get married. If you elope, you don't even take a run-up, what will you elope with me?" This incident has now gone viral on social media.
Currently, Bumrah is on English soil for the Test series between India and England. Bumrah bowled brilliantly in the first match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. He took 5 wickets in England's first innings, although he could not take any wicket in the second innings. His performance has been consistently excellent, and if he had got the right support, perhaps India could have changed the result of the defeat in the Leeds Test. The Indian team management had made it clear from the beginning of the series that Bumrah would play only three Tests.
Will Bumrah play the second match?
In such a situation, it will be interesting to see whether he plays the next match at Edgbaston or not. Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar had also jokingly asked Sanjana to convince Bumrah to play all five Tests, but Bumrah laughed off Sanjana's question. After the first match, captain Shubman Gill had talked about taking a decision on this match by match, while coach Gautam Gambhir also insisted on playing only 3 matches. Now it remains to be seen whether he becomes a part of the Indian team in the second Test match or not.
