Great news for farmers and the economy! The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has released its 2025 monsoon forecast, predicting that the country is likely to witness above-normal rainfall during the four-month monsoon season from June to September.

According to M. Ravichandran, Secretary of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, total rainfall could reach 105% of the long-term average of 87 cm. The southwest monsoon officially spans June 1 to September 30.
