Moto G Max Launched in India at ₹27,999 With 7,000mAh Battery, 120Hz Display and 50MP Camera

Motorola has expanded its G-series lineup in India with the launch of the Moto G Max, a new mid-range smartphone focused heavily on battery life. The handset packs a massive 7,000mAh battery, a 120Hz display and a 50-megapixel main camera.

The Moto G Max is powered by the Snapdragon 6S Gen 4 chipset and ships with Android 16. Motorola claims the large battery can deliver up to 63 hours of usage on a single charge.

Moto G Max Price and Sale Date in India

The Moto G Max has been introduced in a single 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration priced at ₹27,999.

Buyers can choose from three colour options — Pantone Alaskan Blue, Pantone Malaga and Pantone Stargazer.

The smartphone is scheduled to go on sale through Flipkart from August 20 at 12 noon.

As part of the launch offers, eligible Axis Bank and ICICI Bank credit card users can get an instant discount of ₹1,000. An additional ₹1,000 exchange bonus is also being offered.

6.72-Inch Display With 120Hz Refresh Rate

The Moto G Max features a 6.72-inch Full-HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1,080 × 2,400 pixels.

The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate, while peak brightness is rated at up to 1,050 nits. Motorola has also used Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for additional screen protection.

The smartphone weighs 213 grams.

Snapdragon 6S Gen 4 Processor

Under the hood, the Moto G Max uses a 4nm Snapdragon 6S Gen 4 chipset paired with 6GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

It offers 128GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Motorola's RAM Boost feature can use storage to provide additional virtual memory, with the company advertising expansion of up to 24GB.

For security, the device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with face unlock.

50MP Sony Camera and 32MP Selfie Shooter

Photography is handled by a dual rear-camera setup led by a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 600 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture.

The main camera is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera offering a 119.5-degree field of view.

For selfies and video calls, Motorola has equipped the Moto G Max with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

7,000mAh Battery Is the Big Highlight

Battery capacity is one of the biggest selling points of the Moto G Max. The smartphone packs a huge 7,000mAh battery with support for 30W TurboPower charging.

Motorola claims the device can provide up to 63 hours of battery life on a full charge, although actual endurance will depend on usage patterns, network conditions and settings.

Android 16 and Software Update Promise

The Moto G Max comes with Android 16-based Halo UI out of the box.

Motorola has promised two Android operating system upgrades along with three years of security updates for the smartphone.

Connectivity features include dual-SIM 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS. The device also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack and comes with a USB Type-C port.

It carries an IP64 rating, providing protection against dust and water splashes.
