The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert for today in 16 states and union territories across the country. The states for which the department has issued this warning include Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Bengal.  

On the other hand, the monsoon is gradually weakening in Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall activity is expected to decrease in most parts of the state starting today. Widespread rain is expected to cease for the next week or so.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for light to moderate rain at isolated places in the Bharatpur, Jaipur, and Kota divisions of eastern Rajasthan. The weather is expected to remain mainly dry in western Rajasthan today. The maximum temperature in the capital, Jaipur, is expected to be around 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 24 degrees Celsius.

The weather department has not issued any warnings for heavy rain or severe weather in any districts of eastern and western Rajasthan today. According to the Meteorological Department, a new round of rain may begin in eastern and southern Rajasthan from September 12-13.

There is also a possibility of scattered showers in Jaipur, Dausa and surrounding areas.
