Audi is gearing up to introduce the new-generation Q3 in India, bringing a major update to one of its popular luxury SUVs. The new Q3 is scheduled to launch in the country on October 16, 2026, and is expected to bring significant changes in terms of styling, technology and performance.

The India-spec version of the SUV was unveiled in August 2026. It will reportedly become the first Audi model from its new generation to arrive in India. The new Q3 will replace the outgoing model, which has been available in the Indian market for nearly four years.

Audi is expected to assemble the new SUV locally, while bookings have already opened. Here's a look at what the upcoming Q3 could offer.

Petrol Engine Likely to Replace Diesel

The new-generation Q3 is expected to be offered with a petrol-only engine option in India, with no diesel powertrain planned.

The SUV is likely to get a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing around 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque. Audi has not yet officially confirmed the India-spec output figures.

The engine is expected to be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system is also expected to be offered, potentially as standard across the range.

New Q3 Gets a Sharper Design

The upcoming Q3 looks significantly different from the outgoing model.

At the front, the SUV gets a more aggressive appearance with split headlamps and adjustable daytime running lights. The side profile features body-coloured cladding, a chrome beltline and 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

The rear gets split tail-lamps, an illuminated Audi logo and a sporty spoiler, giving the SUV a more premium and contemporary appearance.

Cabin Gets a Major Technology Upgrade

The interior of the new Q3 is expected to receive a substantial makeover as well.

A dual-screen setup will dominate the dashboard, with a digital instrument cluster for the driver and a separate infotainment display. The SUV is also expected to feature a new four-spoke steering wheel and a repositioned gear selector.

Other expected equipment includes a Sonos sound system, panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control and a 360-degree camera.

New Audi Q3 Could Cost Around ₹60 Lakh

With the extensive updates, the new Q3 is expected to cost more than the outgoing model.

The current Audi Q3 is priced at around ₹43.67 lakh to ₹53 lakh (ex-showroom). The new-generation model could start at approximately ₹55 lakh, while the top variant may reach around ₹60 lakh (ex-showroom).

Audi is yet to announce the official pricing.

BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA Among Its Rivals

After its launch, the new Audi Q3 will compete in India's premium compact SUV segment against rivals such as the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA and MINI Countryman.

With a completely refreshed design, a powerful petrol engine, Quattro all-wheel drive and a more technology-focused cabin, the new Q3 is expected to give buyers plenty to consider when it arrives in India on October 16.
