Here 60-year-old Ish Mohammad, a resident of Udhopur village of Gauri Bazar police station area, surprised everyone by sacrificing himself on the occasion of Bakrid. He slit his throat with a knife and kept writhing in pain for hours in a hut near the house. By the time the family came to know about this, his condition had become critical. He was rushed to the hospital, but he died during treatment.

Found soaked in blood, police arrived immediately

Ish Mohammad slit his own throat in a hut near his house. By the time his family found out about it, he had already lost a lot of blood. Seeing him in this condition, his family immediately informed the police. The police arrived at the spot and he was sent to the hospital in an ambulance. But seeing his condition worsening, the doctors referred him to BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur, where he died during treatment.

What was written in the letter?

It is being told that before slitting his throat, Ish Mohammad had also written a letter. In this letter, he wrote that nobody killed me. A person sacrifices a goat after raising it like his son. It is also a living being. Sacrifice should be done. I am sacrificing myself in the name of Allah's messenger. Nobody has killed me. Bury me peacefully, don't be afraid of anyone. Make my grave at the same place where the peg is. Now this letter is going viral on social media. At the same time, there is an atmosphere of mourning in the house and the family members are inconsolable by crying.

Stayed at Baba's shrine for three days, then...

The deceased's wife Hazra said that they had gone to Baba's shrine three days ago and were doing puja (palita) after returning. She said that she does not know how Ish Mohammad got injured. Additional Superintendent of Police of Deoria Arvind Verma said that as soon as the information was received, the PRV team reached the spot and the injured Ish Mohammad was sent to Medical College, Deoria by ambulance. Due to his critical condition, he was referred to BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur, but unfortunately he died during treatment. As per rules, the process of post-mortem and panchayatnama is being done.
