Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated sharply following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. In a stern move, the Indian government has issued a directive asking all Pakistani nationals currently in the country to leave within 48 hours.
🔍 Intelligence Agencies on High Alert
All immigration and security agencies across the country are on high alert. The government has asked for updated data on every Pakistani citizen currently residing in India, including their whereabouts and visa status.
Sources confirm that after the 48-hour deadline, individuals who haven’t left the country will be forcefully repatriated. A senior official revealed that immigration offices have been directed to compile and submit detailed reports on the number of Pakistani nationals and their present locations.
🧾 Mandatory Exit and Deportation Protocol
Once the deadline expires, local police units will be instructed to locate any remaining Pakistani nationals. Based on address records, they may be detained and escorted via buses to the Wagah-Attari border for deportation. While arrests will generally be avoided, they remain an option in exceptional cases.
Authorities emphasized that even those on valid medical visas, which are now only valid till April 29, will need to exit by the deadline. Those who fail to comply may face legal consequences, including detention.
🔥 Triggered by Recent Terror Attacks
This action comes in the aftermath of the brutal Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 civilians lost their lives. The Indian government accuses Pakistani-based terror groups of orchestrating the attack. The decision to expel Pakistani nationals is seen as a national security measure in light of ongoing threats.
