Panchayat: Entry of 'Banaraks' of Panchayat in Bihar voter list dispute, Election Commission made this appeal to the people

Bihar Election 2025 There is a controversy regarding the revision of the voter list before the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar in 2025, to which the opposition parties have objected. According to the Election Commission, voters registered in the voter list till January 1, 2003 do not need to submit documents. The artists of the Panchayat series have also inspired to fill the counting form.
Even before the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar (Bihar Election 2025), there is a controversy regarding the revision of the voter list . Many opposition parties including Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress have objected to the decision of the Election Commission.
However, the Election Commission has clarified that voters registered in the voter list till 1 January 2003 need not submit documents along with the form. The voter list of 2003 is available on the Election Commission website.
Meanwhile, on July 7, a picture of Banarakas and Kranti Devi (Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar), actors of the comedy-drama series Panchayat, was posted. The post reads, "Banarakas and Kranti Devi filled their census form, did you fill it?"

The final voter list will be published on September 30
The period for counting form is from 25 June to 26 July. The draft publication of voter list will be on 1 August 2025. The period for claims and objections is from 1 August to 1 September 2025 and the final voter list will be published on 30 September 2025.
Election Commission gave important information
The Election Commission informed that 'Fill the counting form immediately after receiving it from the BLO and provide it to the BLO along with the necessary documents and photo. If the necessary documents and photo are not available, then just fill the counting form and submit it to the BLO. The Commission has provided a QR code for filling the online form.'
The Election Commission says that updating the voter list is legally mandatory. This update is happening after 22 years. This is according to the Constitution and the Representation of the People Act. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has said that nothing is more transparent than the law in democracy. Special Intensive Revision (SIR) will ensure that all eligible people are included in the voter list.
