Prabhas fans eagerly awaiting his upcoming films may have to wait longer for one of his most ambitious projects. The actor’s big-budget film Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has reportedly hit another delay due to scheduling conflicts.
₹300 Crore Film Put on Hold
Spirit, mounted on a massive budget of around ₹300 crore, was initially expected to progress smoothly after shooting began last year. However, the project has now been postponed once again as Prabhas shifts focus to other commitments.
Why Has ‘Spirit’ Been Delayed?
The delay is largely due to Prabhas juggling multiple films simultaneously. After the underwhelming response to The Raja Saab, the actor reportedly decided to prioritise completing ‘Fauji’, a film that has already seen significant investment and delays.
At the same time, Prabhas has also resumed work on ‘Kalki 2898 AD Part 2’, which began filming earlier this year. Managing these two major projects has forced him to push Spirit further down the schedule.
Director Continues Work Without Prabhas
Despite the delay, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has continued working on the film. Reports suggest that he recently completed a shooting schedule in Goa without Prabhas, focusing on portions that do not require the lead actor.
Cast and Expectations
The film stars Triptii Dimri opposite Prabhas, and early announcements had already generated significant buzz. Given Vanga’s previous success and Prabhas’ pan-India appeal, Spirit remains one of the most anticipated films.
New Release Timeline
As per the latest reports, Spirit is now expected to release on March 5, 2027, pushing it further from its originally planned timeline.
