Bengaluru police have apprehended an individual dubbed the "psycho kisser," identified as Nadeem, who allegedly engaged in a series of non-consensual assaults on women in public places. The man reportedly approached women on streets and in parks, forcibly hugging and kissing them before fleeing the scene.
According to police, Nadeem has a history of such bizarre and disturbing acts, having been arrested for similar offenses in the past.
Recent incidents leading to his latest arrest include:
- In Pulakeshi Nagar, Nadeem allegedly forcibly hugged and kissed two women and harassed them.
- He later kissed a girl near a momos shop and fled.
- In a park, he followed a woman, then kissed and hugged her without consent.
- On June 6, he reportedly approached another woman, forcibly hugged her, and kissed her lips.
- Subsequently, he hugged and kissed another woman who was walking in the same park.
The last incident prompted a complaint from one of the victims at the Pulakeshi Nagar police station. Following the complaint, police launched a search for Nadeem and successfully apprehended him in Banaswadi. He is currently in the custody of the Pulakeshi Nagar police.
During interrogation, Nadeem reportedly admitted to his actions, stating that he frequently watched pornographic films. He claimed that these acts were a result of watching such content, after which he would go out and forcibly hug and kiss women. Police also revealed that Nadeem previously worked for a software company but had left his job a few months prior.
