Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana Crosses ₹150 Crore in Global Advance Bookings, But Dhurandhar 2 Still Leads

Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming film Ramayana is generating tremendous excitement ahead of its theatrical release. Featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey, the much-awaited film has recorded impressive advance bookings in India and overseas.

According to the figures cited in the report, the film has already generated more than ₹150 crore in global advance ticket sales before its release. However, despite this strong response, Ramayana is yet to surpass the opening-day advance booking record set by Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2.

With the film scheduled to release on November 5, all eyes are now on its opening-day performance.

Ramayana Advance Booking Collection Crosses ₹100 Crore in India

Ramayana has received an encouraging response from moviegoers, with a significant number of tickets booked before its theatrical release.

According to Sacnilk data reported on November 4, the film had sold approximately 28.12 lakh tickets in India for its first five days, from November 5 to November 9. This figure includes blocked seats.

The reported advance booking collection stood at approximately ₹106.17 crore.

For the opening day alone, around 10.80 lakh tickets, including blocked seats, had been booked by 2 pm on November 4. These bookings generated approximately ₹41.33 crore.

The film's global advance booking collection had reportedly crossed ₹150 crore, making it one of the major pre-release box-office developments.

Dhurandhar 2 Maintains Its Lead in Opening-Day Advance Bookings

Despite Ramayana's impressive numbers, Dhurandhar 2 remains ahead in the opening-day advance booking comparison.

Ranveer Singh's film reportedly collected ₹62.43 crore through first-day advance bookings, including blocked seats.

In comparison, Ramayana had recorded approximately ₹41.33 crore in opening-day advance bookings at the reported cut-off time.

This leaves a considerable gap between the two films.

However, advance bookings for Ramayana were still open, meaning its final pre-release collection could increase before the first show begins.

Can Ramayana Break Dhurandhar 2's Record?

With ticket sales continuing, Ramayana could improve its opening-day advance booking numbers.

Based on the trend discussed in the report, its first-day advance collection could potentially move towards the ₹50 crore mark. However, surpassing Dhurandhar 2's reported ₹62.43 crore figure would require a substantial increase in bookings.

The final numbers will depend on ticket demand, show availability and audience interest across different regions.

Why Are Expectations So High for Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana?

Ramayana is being presented as a major cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic and is expected to be one of the biggest productions in Indian cinema.

The combination of a popular cast, a large-scale production and the cultural significance of the story has generated considerable anticipation.

Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, while Yash appears as Ravana and Sai Pallavi portrays Sita. Ravi Dubey is also part of the ensemble cast.

The film's scale and reported production budget have further increased expectations surrounding its box-office performance.

Final Verdict: A Strong Start, but the Box Office Battle Is Just Beginning

Ramayana has already demonstrated strong pre-release demand, with reported advance bookings exceeding ₹100 crore in India and ₹150 crore globally.

However, its opening-day advance booking figures are still behind Dhurandhar 2.

The real test will begin once the film reaches theatres. Audience reactions, reviews, occupancy levels and word of mouth will determine whether Ramayana can translate its enormous pre-release excitement into a major box-office success.
