RCB Tops IPL Brand Value at Rs 2304 Crore; Punjab Kings Lead in Profit Growth

After clinching their first IPL title, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has surged to the top spot in brand valuation among IPL teams. This win has helped RCB overtake franchises like Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings in brand value rankings. According to the 2025 IPL Brand Valuation Study by Houlihan Lokey, Inc., RCB’s brand value rose from USD 227 million to USD 269 million, which translates to approximately Rs 2304 crore.

Punjab Kings Leads in Profit Growth
While Punjab Kings (PBKS) have not yet won the IPL trophy, their brand value has seen the highest growth this year, increasing by an impressive 39.6%. Following PBKS, Lucknow Super Giants also reported significant growth with a brand value increase exceeding 34%.

Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings Update
Mumbai Indians climbed to the second position in brand valuation, improving from fourth last year. Their brand value grew from USD 204 million to USD 242 million (around Rs 2074 crore). Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings slipped to third place, with a modest rise in brand value from USD 231 million to USD 235 million (approximately Rs 1979 crore).

IPL’s Overall Market Value Soars
The Indian Premier League’s overall market value has seen tremendous growth, now reaching USD 18.5 billion—an increase of 12.9%. This means the IPL’s valuation has crossed Rs 1.58 lakh crore. The standalone brand value of the IPL itself has increased by 13.8%, reaching USD 3.9 billion compared to the previous year. These figures highlight IPL’s continuing dominance in the cricket world, with expectations of further growth in the near future.
