Royal Enfield continued its strong growth momentum in June 2026, recording impressive motorcycle sales driven by robust demand in the Indian market. The iconic two-wheeler manufacturer sold 114,032 motorcycles during the month, marking a 27% increase over the 89,540 units sold in June last year.
The company's domestic business remained the key growth driver, helping offset weaker export performance.
Domestic Sales Power Growth
Royal Enfield sold 102,930 motorcycles in India during June 2026, representing a 34% year-on-year increase. Strong customer demand across its motorcycle lineup contributed significantly to the company's record monthly performance.
Exports Remain Under Pressure
While domestic sales surged, overseas shipments continued to face challenges.
The company exported 11,102 motorcycles in June 2026, down from 12,583 units in the same month last year, reflecting a 12% decline in exports.
Despite softer international demand, strong sales in the domestic market ensured healthy overall growth.
Strong Start to FY2026–27
Royal Enfield also reported encouraging numbers for the first quarter of the financial year.
Between April and June 2026, the company sold 330,427 motorcycles, a 24% increase compared with 265,528 units during the same period last year.
Domestic sales for the quarter rose 32% to 301,174 units, while exports declined 20% to 29,253 units, highlighting the contrasting performance between local and international markets.
Electric Journey Begins
June also marked a major milestone for Royal Enfield as the company began customer deliveries of its first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6, in Bengaluru.
The electric bike is being introduced under the brand's new Flying Flea electric mobility initiative. Alongside the launch, the company has rolled out dedicated dealership support, enhanced service infrastructure, and 24x7 roadside assistance for EV customers.
Phased Rollout Strategy
Instead of launching the Flying Flea C6 nationwide at once, Royal Enfield plans a phased rollout across selected cities. The strategy will allow the company to gather customer feedback, strengthen its service network, and refine the ownership experience before expanding to more markets.
Bottom Line
Royal Enfield delivered another strong month in June 2026, with domestic demand pushing total motorcycle sales past 1.14 lakh units. While exports remained weak, the company's impressive performance in India and its entry into the electric motorcycle segment position it well for future growth.
