The video has sparked a variety of reactions, with social media users particularly expressing anger over the security guard's treatment of the woman.
Riyadh : A video from inside the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, is gaining traction. In the video, a security guard can be seen pushing a woman and scuffling with another pilgrim. The incident occurred during Umrah, and the one-minute clip has gone viral on social media. Many people have expressed outrage over this behavior near the holy Kaaba.
The video begins with a security officer pushing a woman sitting on the ground. This then leads to an argument and scuffle with a male pilgrim who was trying to question the security guard's behavior, shocking hundreds of people present there.
Questions raised from around the world
The cause of the confrontation near the Kaaba remains unclear. The video doesn't clearly indicate what triggered the incident. However, since the clip surfaced on Monday evening, it has been viewed millions of times. Many have also pointed out that Saudis have a mentality of considering other Muslims in the world inferior to them, which is why such incidents occur.
A user named Sayunkta Jain wrote that Arab Muslims do not consider converts to Islam as true Muslims and therefore treat them differently. The Arab guard mistreated a woman at Islam's holiest site, which is absolutely unforgivable. Another user wrote that he should not have touched or pulled a woman. It's natural for people to be outraged by this.

Many users defended the security officer, saying he was simply following mosque rules to maintain order. One user pointed out that certain areas are not for sitting because they block the way. However, most people agreed that even if he was doing his duty, he could have done it with love.
