SIT Prepares 25 Questions for Sonam in Raja Raghuvanshi Murder Case as Investigation Deepens

The shocking murder of Raja Raghuvanshi from Indore in Meghalaya has captivated national attention. His wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, is believed to be the mastermind behind the crime, and along with four other accused, is currently in police custody. Sonam was arrested by Meghalaya Police from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh and is now on an 8-day police remand. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Meghalaya Police has prepared an extensive list of 25 questions to thoroughly interrogate Sonam and unravel the full extent of the conspiracy.
According to police, Sonam has confessed to her involvement in the crime. The investigation is progressing to uncover more layers of the murder plot. The 25 questions the SIT plans to ask Sonam are as follows:
- When did you and Raja plan your honeymoon in Meghalaya?
- Why were return tickets not booked? Was this also part of the planning?
- Did you know Raj Kushwaha before marriage? The police have evidence of your constant contact with him.
- Encrypted app chats have revealed that you were in touch with Raj Kushwaha during the honeymoon. What was the conversation between you two?
- Why did you share your live location with the accused?
- You were seen with Raja and three Hindi-speaking men in Mawlakhiyat on May 23. What can you tell us about them?
- Local guide Albert Pade says that you refused his services on May 22 and then the next day also you refused to let the guide accompany you. Why did you do this?
- Albert identified the three people present with you as the same people whose names have appeared in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case. Did you or Raj Kushwaha hire them?
- Who contacted the assassins to kill Raja Raghuvanshi?
- How much money was given to the killers for killing Raja Raghuvanshi and who gave this money and was the money given in cash or was it done through phone and online transaction?
- Why did you and Raj Kushwaha choose Meghalaya to kill Raja Raghuvanshi? Did you plan to go to any other place other than Meghalaya?
- Why did Raj Kushwaha not come with you to Meghalaya to carry out the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case?

Recent updates indicate that Sonam's cousin, Jitendra Raghuvanshi, is also under police scanner as his UPI account was allegedly used to pay the first installment to the hitmen. Police are also investigating if Sonam intended to elope with a "mysterious third person" after the murder and had purchased a flat in Indore as a hideout. Sonam initially tried to portray herself as a victim of robbery but reportedly broke down and confessed when confronted with evidence, including CCTV footage, call records, and physical evidence from the crime scene. Her brother has also publicly stated he is "100% sure" of her involvement and has severed ties with her, vowing to fight for justice for Raja.
