Skin Care: Do you use a handkerchief to wipe off your sweat? This mistake can cost you heavily...

How handkerchief causes skin infections: The increasing humidity due to the onset of summer and monsoon has become a headache for people. Even after wiping sweat with a handkerchief repeatedly, there is no relief. Doing this can become a problem. This damages the skin and can also cause many types of skin infections.

The handkerchief is home to bacteria.
Often people use the same handkerchief the whole day. The handkerchief becomes wet after wiping the sweat once. Dust, oil, and dirt start accumulating in it. Due to being wet, bacteria grow rapidly in it. If sweat is wiped again with it, then bacteria spread on the skin. This closes the pores, which can cause acne. Fungus also grows quickly on a wet handkerchief, which can cause fungal infection.

There may be irritation on the skin.
Putting a handkerchief on the face several times a day can make the skin red. A handkerchief is a cloth that causes friction when the skin is wiped. This rubbing damages the upper layer of the skin and it can turn red. Not only this, people who have dry, acne-prone, or sensitive skin can also get irritation.

Wrinkles can appear prematurely.
Repeatedly wiping the sweat from the face with a handkerchief starts removing the natural oil from the skin. Due to this, the skin starts losing its moisture and remains dry. Due to this stretching and dryness, premature wrinkles start appearing. Due to this, the skin also gets damaged quickly due to the rays of the sun.

Avoid wet tissues too.
Nowadays many people use wet tissues instead of handkerchiefs. This is also not good for the skin. Many types of chemicals and different fragrances are used on these tissues, due to which the pH level of the skin starts deteriorating. This breaks the skin barrier and it starts looking dull and lifeless.

Clean the sweat like this.
The best way to dry the sweat is air. When you sweat, sit in front of a fan, cooler, or AC. Due to this, the sweat will start drying automatically. Sweat comes out only when the body temperature increases. In such a situation, it keeps itself cool and the body temperature becomes normal. Sitting in the air maintains this temperature. Apart from this, keep more than 1 handkerchief with you. The handkerchief should always be soft i.e. made of cotton. Avoid handkerchiefs made of thick or rough cloth. You can also wipe sweat with dry paper tissue. It is used and thrown, so the chances of spreading bacteria are also less. At the same time, do not touch the face repeatedly with your hands. If you have to touch the handkerchief, then wash your hands first.

Wash your face with water.

To prevent sweating, wash the face with water several times a day. You can also wash your face with mild face wash twice a day. This will clean the dirt and bacteria from the face. Apart from this, face mist has anti-bacterial properties. This mist cools the skin and does not sweat.
