Once the squad receives clearance, the players are expected to assemble in Colombo before travelling to Galle for the first Test.

Opening batter Pathum Nissanka is reportedly recovering from a wrist injury sustained earlier this month. The injury forced him to miss the remainder of the Lanka Premier League, and his fitness remains under assessment ahead of the India series.
