When the ground gets flooded during the rains, snakes turn towards human settlements in search of dry and warm places. In such a situation, the incidents of snakes being seen in houses, fields, under vehicles and even in bathrooms increase.
Don't be afraid, be alert and adopt these simple home remedies, which will not only protect you from snakes but you will also be able to keep your house safe.
1. Smoke of neem and camphor.
Burn dry neem leaves and camphor and spread the smoke in the corners of the house and outside. Snakes run away from this smell. Do this remedy 2-3 times a week.
2. Use of celery and garlic
Snakes have a very strong sense of smell, and they run away from pungent smells. Rubbing celery and garlic and keeping them near doors and windows will prevent snakes from coming near.
3. Keep phenyl tablets
near the bathroom, toilet and sewer of the house. Its strong smell prevents snakes from coming inside. Remember, keep it away from children.
4. Cleanliness around the house -
Grass, bushes and heaps of garbage are the most favorite hiding places for snakes during the rainy season. Keep the area around the house clean, and do not keep piles of tires, wood or bricks.
5. Spraying lemon and red chilli
Mix lemon juice and red chilli powder in water and spray it near the main entrance and window of the house. This mixture is intolerable for snakes.
6. Seal drains and cracks
During the rainy season, snakes often enter through drains and cracks in the walls of the house. Seal all these with cement or silicone.
