In a joint operation by Indore and Shillong police, all the main accused in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case are now behind bars. The revelations of this case are more shocking than the mystery it was. Sonam, who was initially considered a missing wife and a potential victim, turned out to be the mastermind of this murder drama. After a mere 28-day-old marriage, the husband was taken to a place on the pretext of a honeymoon from where it was impossible for him to return to life.
The excuse was honeymoon, but the intention was murder
Marriage on May 11, reaching Guwahati on May 20 and then suddenly planning to go to Meghalaya—all this could have seemed like a normal honeymoon. But the truth was very different and horrifying. Raja Raghuvanshi's wife Sonam had planned the trip to Meghalaya herself, she had also booked the tickets. This was the same Sonam who was later arrested from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh.

This is how the king was taken to his death
According to the family members, Raja never went anywhere without planning, but this time he headed towards an unknown and risky place, which became the last destination of his life. The area of Meghalaya where his body was found has been notorious for dangerous incidents in the past as well. It is believed that Sonam persuaded Raja to go in that direction.
Love affair became the reason for murder
If sources are to be believed, Sonam had an affair with a young man named Raj Kushwaha, who worked in her father's company. Their relationship had deepened even before marriage. To end the marriage and maintain a relationship with Raj, Sonam hatched a sinister conspiracy-murdering her husband.

Contract killers hired for murder
Sonam hired three people including Raj Kushwaha for this murder. These three killers were also seen with Sonam and Raja in Shillong. A local guide told the police that he had seen the couple with three strangers on the morning of May 23, who were continuously talking in Hindi. This was not a coincidence, but a layer of a conspiracy that was about to be revealed.
Arrest and disclosure
Raja's body was recovered from a ditch on June 2, but there was no trace of Sonam. After this, the police launched an extensive search operation. On June 9, Sonam was arrested from Ghazipur in UP. Her lover Raj Kushwaha was also arrested on the same day. Earlier, the police had also taken three other murderers into custody.

The next step in the investigation
At present, the police have got all the accused medically examined and the process of presenting them in the district court is underway. Sonam is being questioned thoroughly so that every layer related to the murder plan can be unraveled.
One wedding, three gestures and one murder
Raja's family says Sonam's actions were suspicious from the start:
- Sonam herself made the entire plan for the honeymoon.
- Sudden plan to Meghalaya from Guwahati.
- Raja going into dangerous area without any research.
If all these signs had been understood in time, perhaps the king's life could have been saved.
