T20 World Cup 2026: Team India Receives ₹25 Crore from ICC After ₹131 Crore BCCI Reward

After winning the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, India national cricket team continues to receive massive rewards and recognition. Following a ₹131 crore reward from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the International Cricket Council (ICC) has now also awarded the team ₹25 crore as prize money.
This victory marks India’s second consecutive T20 World Cup title, after previously winning the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024.
Dominant Win in the Final
The final match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 was played at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
In a dominant performance, India defeated the New Zealand national cricket team by 96 runs, securing the third T20 World Cup title in the nation’s history.
ICC Prize Money Distribution
The ICC announced prize money for various teams based on their performance in the tournament:

India (Champions): about ₹25 crore

New Zealand (Runners-up): around ₹13 crore

Semi-finalists – South Africa national cricket team and England national cricket team: about ₹9 crore each
Other teams also received financial rewards for their participation and performance.

Teams that reached the Super 8 stage but did not qualify further were also awarded prize money:

Afghanistan national cricket team, Australia national cricket team, and United States national cricket team received about $309,808 each.
Other teams were rewarded as follows:
