Social media platform WhatsApp keeps testing new features from time to time
Social media platform WhatsApp periodically tests new features. Now, the company is testing a new feature that allows users to search for any user by simply entering their username. This feature doesn't require a phone number.
This feature will prove to be very useful for people. With this feature, users will no longer need to give their number to anyone. They will be able to use their username to chat with you on WhatsApp. Once username reservation is enabled, people will be able to search for usernames in the WhatsApp search bar.
WhatsApp shared a screenshot on Instagram, clearly showing this upcoming feature. It states that WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will allow people to search for and communicate with people by their username.
