The Raja Raghuvanshi murder case continues to shock the nation as yet another twist emerges — this time from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. Mayank Raghuvanshi, a businessman from Dhar, has revealed that he was once engaged to marry Sonam Raghuvanshi, the woman now accused of orchestrating her husband's murder during their honeymoon.
“I Would Have Been in Raja’s Place Today”
Recalling the broken alliance, Mayank said:
“Thank God, I was saved… Otherwise, I could have met the same fate as Raja.”
According to Mayank, his marriage with Sonam was almost finalized. Their families had met, 25 Gunas (qualities) matched, and preparations had even begun. But a sudden warning from their family astrologer changed everything.
Astrologer Predicted ‘Danger’ in the Marriage
“The astrologer told us the match was dangerous. He said it would not last, and there could be serious harm to our family,” said Mayank.
Taking the warning seriously, Mayank’s family called off the wedding. Soon after, in February, Sonam got engaged to Raja Raghuvanshi. Just 10 days after their wedding, Raja was murdered in Shillong, allegedly by Sonam and her lover Raj Kushwaha, with help from contract killers.
"The Stars Saved Me, But Raja Didn't Deserve This"
Mayank expressed sorrow over Raja’s tragic fate:
“I still can’t believe this. It could have been me. But Raja didn’t deserve to die like this. I pray his family gets justice.”
This revelation adds a chilling new layer to the case, as it shows Sonam's alleged manipulations were nearly directed at another unsuspecting man.
A Pattern of Deception?
As the police investigation intensifies, the revelation by Mayank supports the growing theory that Sonam’s marriage to Raja may have been part of a larger, calculated plan. Whether it was emotional manipulation, occult influence, or cold-blooded planning — every day, new voices and victims from her past are stepping forward, making this one of the most twisted true-crime sagas in recent memory.
