More than half of the country's population has an Aadhaar card. You need it for everything from getting admission in school or college to availing government schemes. Many times people enter some wrong information in their Aadhaar card. To change it, they have to go to the Aadhaar centre. But now they don't have to go to the Aadhaar centre. This information will be updated while sitting at home.

Aadhaar card will be updated sitting at home

At present, people get the facility to update their address in their Aadhaar card online. To update other details, they have to go to the Aadhaar centre. But now, people will not have to go to the Aadhaar centre to update their name, date of birth, address or any other details in Aadhaar.

All this will now be updated sitting at home. Let us tell you that UIDAI has launched an app. Which will be linked to all databases. Everything from your birth certificate to passport and electricity bill will be linked to the database. Currently 2000 machines have been linked to it. By November 1 lakh machines will be linked. Due to which all the updates related to Aadhaar will be done sitting at home just through OTP. 

You will have to go to the Aadhaar center for these two things

Although now you will get the facility to update almost all the information in Aadhaar online from home. But you will still have to go to the Aadhaar center to update two types of information, one of which is your biometric data and the other is iris scan. You will have to go to the Aadhaar center to change these. But apart from these, you will be able to update all the information sitting at home through OTP.
