Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) appears to be preparing for a busy year in the Indian automobile market. The company has several new and updated models in its pipeline, with three vehicles expected to arrive over the next 12 months.

The upcoming lineup is likely to cover multiple segments, from the affordable Glanza hatchback to the premium Fortuner SUV. While some models are expected to receive cosmetic updates, others could get significant changes in design, features and technology.

Toyota Glanza Could Get a Fresh New Look

The Toyota Glanza, which shares its underpinnings with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, could soon receive a facelift following updates to its sibling model.

The refreshed Glanza is expected to receive styling changes at the front, including a redesigned radiator grille positioned between the headlights. The Toyota badge could also get a revised treatment.

Other possible additions include redesigned alloy wheels, a sunroof and ambient lighting. The cabin could also receive new upholstery and updated interior trim.

Despite these cosmetic and feature changes, the powertrain is expected to remain largely unchanged. The existing engine and transmission combinations could therefore continue with the updated model.

Innova Hycross Facelift Could Arrive Next Year

Toyota is also preparing an updated version of the popular Innova Hycross, with the facelift expected to arrive early next year.

Test vehicles of the updated MPV have reportedly been spotted on Indian roads, offering clues about the changes Toyota could introduce. The front-end styling is expected to take inspiration from the company's latest Hilux, giving the Innova Hycross a more contemporary appearance.

One of the most noticeable changes could be a redesigned grille with a new mesh pattern and decorative elements. The lower air intake is also expected to become larger, while new alloy wheel designs could further distinguish the facelifted model.

Inside the cabin, Toyota could introduce an updated touchscreen infotainment system, a powered front passenger seat and an improved wireless smartphone charging system.

The mechanical package, however, is not expected to undergo major changes as part of this mid-cycle update.

Next-Generation Fortuner Could Be the Biggest Launch

The third major Toyota product in the pipeline is the next-generation Fortuner. The new-generation SUV is expected to make its debut around the middle of next year.

The upcoming Fortuner could receive a more modern and aggressive exterior, with design elements inspired by the latest Hilux. The cabin is also expected to receive a substantial technology upgrade.

Potential features include a large 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation. Other expected additions include electric power steering, multiple high-output USB Type-C ports and a cabin detection alert system.

The SUV could also receive advanced driver-assistance features such as lane departure alert and dynamic radar cruise control, making it considerably more tech-focused than the current-generation model.

Interestingly, despite the major design and technology changes, Toyota could continue with familiar engine and transmission options.

Toyota's Upcoming Lineup

With the Glanza potentially receiving a styling refresh, the Innova Hycross getting a mid-life update and the Fortuner moving into a new generation, Toyota could have an interesting lineup of launches and updates planned for India.

However, details such as launch dates, specifications, features and pricing are yet to be officially confirmed. The final equipment and powertrain combinations may therefore differ from current expectations.
