A disturbing case has come to light from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, shattering the traditional image of a respectful relationship between a father-in-law and daughter-in-law. A woman approached the police at Nandagram police station, alleging that her father-in-law installed a hidden camera in the bathroom to spy on her while she bathed.

Harassment and Dowry Pressure

The victim revealed that her harassment didn’t stop there. Her two brothers-in-law also teased and harassed her regularly. Along with emotional and physical abuse, the woman faced constant pressure from her in-laws — including her husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and brothers-in-law — demanding a dowry of ₹5 lakh and a car.

Allegations Against Husband

Adding to her trauma, the woman accused her husband of having illicit relationships with multiple women. She further alleged that in December 2024, he tried to kill her by running her over with a car in Mussoorie and strangling her in a hotel room.

Police Action

The woman has filed a case of dowry harassment and abuse against her in-laws and husband. The police have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter. Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken after a thorough inquiry.
