Good news for WhatsApp users. WhatsApp has introduced four new features to simplify and improve the group chatting experience. Importantly, important messages can now be permanently pinned within a group. This means that even if hundreds of messages are coming into a group, you won't have to spend much time searching for the necessary information. The new features will make group management easier for group admins and members.
Permanent message pinning feature:
Previously, important messages on WhatsApp could be pinned for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. However, with this new feature, messages can be pinned permanently. Until the person unpins the message themselves, it will remain visible at the top of the group. This will make important announcements, rules, and links easily accessible.
Old chat history can be shared with new members
A new feature has been introduced to help new members understand past conversations after joining a group. Now, group admins or managers will be able to share old chat history with new members. Importantly, this chat history will be protected by end-to-end encryption.
Group-specific status updates:
Users will now be able to set a unique status for a specific group. For example, a status posted for a family or work group will only be visible to members of that group. Members will be able to react to it. This status will disappear after 24 hours.
Unread Mentions and Replies Filter
You can now easily see who has mentioned you or replied to your messages in a group. A new filter allows you to view these messages separately, including '@all' mentions. This will make it easier to find the messages you need.
