The Malayalam film industry has once again proven its strength at the box office with Vaazha 2 emerging as a surprise blockbuster. Despite competition from big releases like Dhurandhar 2, this film has managed to dominate theatres and win over audiences both in India and overseas.

On its ninth day alone, it collected around ₹6.35 crore domestically, along with an impressive ₹4 crore from overseas markets, taking its single-day total close to ₹10 crore. According to reports, the film’s nine-day net collection in India stands at ₹61.40 crore, while the gross collection has reached ₹71.07 crore. What truly stands out is its overseas performance, which has already crossed ₹57 crore. This brings the worldwide collection to approximately ₹128 crore in just nine days, and the film is now तेजी से moving towards the ₹150 crore mark.
One of the biggest highlights of this success is that the film reportedly recovered its budget within just two days of release. This early recovery gave it a strong push, allowing it to build momentum through positive word-of-mouth and audience appreciation.
