Varanasi News: A bus caught fire on the overbridge located at Mohav in Cholapur police station area of Varanasi district on Tuesday. During this, the passengers saved their lives by jumping from the bus. There was an atmosphere of chaos at the spot.
This is the whole matter
A contracted bus from Azamgarh was coming to Varanasi with passengers. According to the police, 45 passengers were travelling in the bus. When the engine of the vehicle started heating up, the driver warned the conductor. After which the conductor asked the passengers to get down. Soon the bus caught fire. The passengers jumped out quickly and saved their lives.
During the incident, a passenger's bag was left in the bus. It got burnt in the fire. As soon as all the passengers got off the bus, it started burning. The fire was so fierce that the entire vehicle was burnt in a short time.
The fire brigade and police personnel stationed at Cholapur police station immediately started extinguishing the fire. However, by then the bus had already burned. Inspector Chandan Chaurasia said that no passenger was harmed. One passenger's bag was burnt. The driver-conductor had said that the fire broke out due to the engine overheating and wiring short.
