According to media reports, there was a plan to lure Himmat to Vrindavan. The women who had been abused by the 'saint' and some social workers laid a trap to catch him. As soon as Himmat arrived at a guest house in Bihar, the women arrived. Video shows a group of women entering the house, pulling the 'saint's hair and beating him. They dragged him out of the guest house, where he was kicked and punched. Upon receiving the news, local police arrived at the scene and Himmat Giri was arrested.

One complainant claimed that Himmat often forced women to have sex and make pornographic videos. He then used these videos to blackmail them. Initially, many victims were hesitant to file complaints against him for fear of defamation. As the case escalated, allegations began to surface.

The accused "saint" would approach women using various fake identities. He specifically targeted women without children and widows. One woman alleged that the accused kept changing his location when she tried to file a complaint of torture against him. Himmat has also been accused of beating women. Police detained Himmat Giri and took him to the Vrindavan police station for further legal action. The incident is under investigation.
