Vivo has launched the Vivo T5 5G in India, bringing a large 7,050mAh battery, a 144Hz curved AMOLED display, and a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo processor to its T-series lineup.

The smartphone is aimed at users looking for a combination of long battery life, high-refresh-rate display, and strong performance. It will go on sale in India from September 9 via Flipkart.

The smartphone is available in four configurations:

• 6GB + 128GB: ₹34,999
• 8GB + 128GB: ₹39,999
• 8GB + 256GB: ₹44,999
• 12GB + 256GB: ₹49,999

Vivo is also offering an instant bank discount of up to ₹4,000 on eligible Axis Bank, SBI, and HDFC Bank cards.

The phone will be available in Royal Bronze and Silver Green colour options.

144Hz curved AMOLED display

The Vivo T5 5G features a 6.83-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with support for a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

• 449 ppi pixel density
• 300Hz touch sampling rate
• HDR10+ support

The high refresh rate should make scrolling, animations, and supported games appear smoother.

MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo processor

The smartphone is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo octa-core chipset with a maximum clock speed of 2.6GHz.

It is paired with a MediaTek NPU 850, LPDDR4X RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. Vivo claims that the device has crossed 1.2 million points on AnTuTu, although benchmark scores can vary depending on testing conditions.

50MP Sony camera with OIS

The Vivo T5 5G gets a dual-camera setup at the rear.

The primary camera is a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS). It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

For selfies and video calls, there is a 32MP front camera, which can record video at up to 4K resolution.

Massive 7,050mAh battery

Battery life is one of the biggest highlights of the new Vivo smartphone. It packs a 7,050mAh battery and supports 44W wired fast charging.

Vivo claims that the battery can provide up to 22 hours of video streaming on a single charge, although actual endurance will depend on factors such as brightness, network connectivity, apps, and usage patterns.
