Rain continues in Rajasthan, with many districts in the state receiving heavy rainfall over the past two days. However, there are now signs of a slowdown in rainfall activity. However, light to moderate rain may continue in some areas of eastern Rajasthan. On September 7, scattered rain is expected in Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, and Udaipur divisions, while isolated rain may also occur in the Bikaner division of western Rajasthan.
Where it may rain:
According to the Meteorological Department, Jaipur, on September 7, apart from some parts of Ajmer division, light rain may occur in some areas of Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Bundi, Baran, Jhalawar, Jaipur, Dausa, Alwar and Bharatpur. Light to moderate rain is expected in Bharatpur, Jaipur and Kota divisions. Showers may also occur at some places in Udaipur division. Whereas light rain or drizzle is possible at some places in Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Sikar, Bikaner and Nagaur.
Monsoon will weaken from September 8
According to IMD, weak monsoon conditions are likely to develop in most parts of Rajasthan from September 8. There will be less possibility of widespread rain during September 8, 9 and 10. There may be possibility of cloud formation and local showers at some places. According to IMD, the weather may change again in eastern Rajasthan around September 11-12, there are indications of a new phase of rain starting in eastern and southern Rajasthan from September 12 and 13.
