A shocking incident unfolded in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, when a young man, driven by unrequited love, allegedly sneaked into his recently married girlfriend's bedroom, only to be discovered by her unsuspecting husband. The ensuing revelation led to public humiliation and a dramatic turn of events that has shaken the entire village.
The incident centers around a girl from the Turkpatti area who had been in a long-standing relationship with a boy from the Nebua Naurangia area. Despite their prolonged affair, the girl was married to another man last Wednesday and moved to her in-laws' house the very next day. However, her former lover, unable to bear the separation, decided to visit her at her marital home.
On Saturday evening, the groom's family had left to attend an auspicious function at a relative's house. Around midnight, the lover reportedly entered the house through a window. The girl, who was alone in the room, then hid him inside a trunk. Her husband was sleeping outside in the veranda.
Around 2 AM, the husband woke up, sensing some unusual movement inside the house. Upon investigating, he found the bedroom door locked from the inside. After calling out, his wife eventually opened the door. Suspicion arose when the husband noticed that the items placed on top of a trunk had been disturbed. Upon opening the trunk, he discovered the lover hidden inside.
The husband immediately raised an alarm, drawing the attention of villagers who quickly gathered. The intruder was caught and subjected to a severe beating. His hands and legs were tied, his face was smeared with soot, and he was paraded through the village, enduring public humiliation. A video of the incident quickly went viral on social media.
The police were informed and arrived at the scene, rescuing the youth from the angry mob and taking him to the police station for his safety. He was later handed over to his family. It is being reported that the youth is, in fact, the girlfriend's nephew.
Following the incident, the mother of the beaten youth has filed a case against the accused involved in the assault. Additionally, the groom has filed a case against the bride's lover. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
