Why did a Pakistani company buy real-time satellite images of Pahalgam before the terrorist attack? Read the shocking revelation

Just two months before the Pahalgam attack, the order for satellite images of Pahalgam's Bousran Valley was given to Maxar Technologies. This company is one of the top US space technology companies that sells high-resolution HD images. The report states that the highest number of orders for images of the Pahalgam area were received in February 2025.

Digital Desk, New Delhi.  Pakistan-sponsored terrorists killed 26 Hindus in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir (Pahalgam Terror Attack) . The Resistance Front (TRF) took responsibility for this attack. The terrorists carried out this attack with complete planning. It is feared that the terrorists may have also been shown satellite pictures of Pahalgam.

According to a report in The Print, the order for satellite images of the Bousran Valley was placed with Maxar  Technologies, just two months before the Pahalgam attack. This company is one of the top US space technology companies that sells high-resolution HD images.

The report states that the maximum orders for photographs of the Pahalgam area were received in February 2025. After this, an order was also placed on April 12, ten days before the terrorist attack. Orders for photographs of this area started coming in June last year.

Maxar sold the photos to a Pakistani company  

According to the report, a few months ago Maxar had made a deal with a Pakistani company. The name of the Pakistani company with which Maxar had made a deal is 'Business System International Private Limited'. The name of the founder of this company is Obaidullah Syed. This company provides geographical location information.

Although the report does not reveal whether the photographs of Pahalgam were sold to Pakistani firm Business System International Private Limited (BSI), defence experts and other experts have not ruled out this possibility.

A case has been filed against the company's founder in the US

According to The Print report, a criminal case has also been registered against the company's founder in the US. Obaidullah Syed was found guilty in a case related to the 'Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission' i.e. PAEC in the US. According to a US court, Syed illegally exported 'high performance computer equipment' and 'software application solutions'.

Base price of satellite image is Rs 3 lakh

The report revealed that apart from Pahalgam, the satellite images also captured other sensitive areas of India such as Pulwama, Anantnag, Poonch, Rajouri and Baramulla. The base price of each satellite image starts at Rs 3 lakh, which increases depending on the resolution of the image.

At the same time, the report quoted an ISRO scientist as saying, "Satellite surveillance has become the backbone of any country's intelligence. Although it is not clear whether these pictures were used to plan the attacks in Pahalgam on April 22, India may ask Maxar to investigate these pictures.

The company sells high resolution photos

Let us tell you that Maxar Technologies is known for its satellites. The company provides high resolution HD pictures with pixels ranging from 30 cm to 15 cm. The smaller the pixel size, the clearer and better the picture will be.  

Government agencies such as the Ministry of Defense and ISRO also purchase images from Maxar. At least 11 Indian space technology startups and other companies are customers and partners of Maxar Technologies.
