If you have old posts on your Instagram profile that you don't want to delete but also don't want to show to others, Instagram's Archive feature is very useful. It allows you to remove old posts from your profile without deleting them. Interestingly, archived posts can be re-displayed on your profile later.
How to Archive an Instagram Post?
To archive an old Instagram post, first open the Instagram app and go to your profile. Now select the post you want to archive. Once the post is open, tap the three dots that appear at the top.
You'll then see several options. Tap on the Archive option. Doing so will remove the post from your profile and save it only in your Archive section.
Where can I find archived posts?
To view your archived posts, go to your Profile and tap the three-line menu in the upper right corner. Select the Archive option. You'll then see your archived posts.
How to restore a post to your profile?
If you want to re-display an archived post on your profile, go to the Archive section and open the post. Then, tap the three dots and select the Show on Profile option. The post will reappear on your profile.
The difference between Archive and Delete:
Archiving a post keeps it safe in your account, while deleting it removes it. So, if you think you might need an old post in the future, archiving it instead of deleting it might be a better option.
