King Mswati III of the African nation of Eswatini is once again in the news. He often makes headlines for his royal lifestyle, but this time he's being discussed for his 15 wives and 30 children. An old video of Mswati III is going viral on social media, showing him with his 15 wives, 30 children, and nearly 100 servants. Eswatini was formerly known as Swaziland.

This video is from his visit to the UAE. It first surfaced in July, showing him, his family, and staff receiving a grand welcome at Abu Dhabi airport. However, when he arrived with so many people, security became a challenge, forcing authorities to close three terminals.

King Mswati's father had married 125 times.
Video footage shows King Mswati III disembarking from a private jet wearing the country's traditional attire. A group of women is seen walking behind him. The caption accompanying the video reads, "The King of Swaziland arrived in Abu Dhabi with his 15 wives and 100 servants. His father, Sobhuza II, had 125 wives." Several reports also stated that Mswati III's 30 children accompanied him on his Abu Dhabi visit.

Why is King Mswati III being criticized?
Mswati III's grandeur has been widely discussed, and many have criticized him for living such a lavish life despite the poverty in his country. One user wrote, "This is why Mswati III's people don't have electricity." Another user asked, "Is this country so rich that it can have a private jet?" Another user criticized King Mswati III's lavish lifestyle, writing, "This man himself travels around in a private jet, while the people of his country are dying of hunger."

King Mswati III has been King of Eswatini since 1986 and has a net worth of approximately $1 billion. He owns several magnificent palaces, a fleet of luxury cars, and private jets. He has 15 wives and chooses a
new bride every year during the Reed Dance ceremony, a traditional custom in the region.
