Bhoot Bangla Box Office Buzz: Strong Opening Expected, Big Records in Sight

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is back with a much-awaited horror-comedy, and early signs suggest that Bhoot Bangla could open big at the box office. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film marks their reunion and has already generated strong excitement among audiences. With a star-studded cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Tabu, and Vamika Gabbi, expectations are naturally high.

The film had paid previews on April 16, followed by its official release on April 17, and initial trends indicate a promising start. Advance booking alone has reportedly crossed ₹3.3 crore, while block bookings push the figure close to ₹6.8 crore. Around 1.29 lakh tickets have already been sold across more than 12,000 shows, with Delhi-NCR emerging as a key stronghold.

Paid previews are estimated to have contributed around ₹3–4 crore, and the opening day collection is expected to fall in the range of ₹12–14 crore. Combining both, the total Day 1 figure could reach ₹15–18 crore, which would place the film among Akshay Kumar’s stronger post-pandemic openings.

If these projections hold or improve, Bhoot Bangla could become his third-biggest opener after Sooryavanshi and Housefull 5, surpassing films like Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Sky Force, and Ram Setu.

Despite some initial challenges regarding screen allocation due to competition from other releases, the situation appears to be stabilizing, which could further boost its performance. With a popular genre, nostalgic director-actor pairing, and strong word-of-mouth potential, Bhoot Bangla is well-positioned to deliver a solid box office run and possibly mark a much-needed comeback for Akshay Kumar.
