Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi has opened up about a lesser-known chapter from his early career, shedding light on the struggles he faced before establishing himself in the industry. While he is currently receiving appreciation for his role in the film Dhurandhar, Bedi recently recalled a time when his hard work went completely unrewarded.
In a candid conversation, Bedi spoke about working in the 1982 film Saath Saath, where he didn’t receive any payment at all. He revealed that not only was he unpaid for his performance, but he also didn’t even get reimbursed for basic expenses like travel. To manage during that time, he would carry food from home while going for shoots. The revelation highlights the harsh realities many actors face during their initial years in the film industry.
Despite such setbacks, Rakesh Bedi continued to work hard and gradually built a strong identity, especially through his comic roles in films and television. Over the years, he became a familiar face known for his timing and versatility.
Recently, his performance in Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, has once again brought him into the spotlight. Sharing screen space with actors like Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal, Bedi impressed audiences with his role, proving that persistence and passion can eventually pay off, even if the journey begins with hardship.
