Shani Shingnapur Temple Trust has sacked 167 employees on charges of irregularities and indiscipline, including 114 Muslim employees. This step has been taken after protests by Hindu organisations.

Thousands of devotees from all over the country come to visit Shani Shingnapur daily. Many Muslim employees were also working in Shri Kshetra Shani Shingnapur Temple Trust. A controversy has arisen over this. 114 Muslim employees were working in Shani Shingnapur Temple Trust. Hindu organizations became aggressive against them. People of the Hindu organization said that the trust should immediately remove all Muslim employees from work, otherwise the organization warned that a big rally would be taken out by the entire Hindu community outside the temple on June 14. People of Hindu organization protested

There was a protest from the entire Hindu community due to the work being done by Muslims at Shanidev Chowk. Regarding this, the trust itself said that a total of 114 Muslim employees work in the temple trust. But not a single Muslim employee is on duty in the temple premises. The trust said that these Muslim employees work in the agriculture department, waste management department and education department of the temple trust. Out of 114 Muslim employees, 99 employees have not been coming to work for the last five months. The trust had said that the salaries of all these employees have been delayed.

What did the temple administration say?

It has been decided in the Shani Shingnapur temple administration meeting that a total of 167 employees working in the temple are being fired on the charges of indiscipline. The temple administration has made a list of all those employees who have been accused of irregularities and indiscipline, no decision will be taken on the basis of religion or caste. However, among these 167 employees, 114 employees are from the Muslim religion.
