New Delhi: India won the second Test against the West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium by seven wickets. With this, Team India completed a 2-0 series sweep. The West Indies have not defeated India in the last 27 Test matches. The West Indies won the match against India in Kingston by 155 runs in May 2022. Following this, Team India gave a befitting reply to the West Indies, winning two consecutive matches that same year.

Four consecutive matches between India and the West Indies between November 2002 and June 2006 ended in draws. However, that same year, Team India won by 49 runs against the hosts at Kingston. India and the West Indies played a total of six Tests in 2011, winning three and drawing the same number of matches. In 2013, the two countries played a total of two matches.
