36 Stars, No Location: Ahmed Khan Clarifies ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ Shooting Delay

Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer film Welcome to the Jungle has been surrounded by rumors since its shooting was halted. Announced with much fanfare, the project faced speculation about financial troubles causing delays. However, director Ahmed Khan has now addressed these rumors and shared the real reasons behind the pause in shooting.

Ahmed Khan revealed that the team had completed two long shooting schedules and was preparing for a third in Kashmir in June. Unfortunately, a terrorist attack in Pahalgam forced the cancellation of the Kashmir schedule, causing the delay.

Speaking about the location, Ahmed said the crew is now scouting for alternative sites, possibly in Kullu or Himachal Pradesh, as returning to Kashmir is not feasible at the moment. Coordinating shooting dates for a star cast of 36 actors is also proving to be a challenge.

Regarding rumors of financial issues and non-payment to actors, Ahmed clarified that he is not involved with the film’s finances, which are managed by producer Firoz Nadiadwala. Recent reports of a financial crunch and some actors refusing to continue due to unpaid dues have been denied by the director.

Fans and industry watchers await further updates as the makers work to resume filming in a new location with all stars on board.
