The drafting committee of the National Council will meet on April 13, 2026, to discuss the final proposal to be submitted to the 8th Pay Commission. According to reports, the drafting
committee is discussing key employee-related issues. A joint memorandum covering salary, pension, and job-related issues is being prepared, which will be submitted to the 8th Pay Commission.

An important meeting of the committee was held on March 12, 2026, where suggestions from various employee and pensioner organizations were discussed. In February 2026, the government informed Parliament that the formation of the 8th Central Pay Commission had already been notified. Under the November 3, 2025, resolution, the Commission has been given 18 months to submit its recommendations.
