The Eighth Pay Commission was established on November 3, 2025. Its term will be 13 months. Importantly, it will end on April 30, 2026. Therefore, it's crucial to provide feedback within this date. It's also crucial to schedule an appointment with them via email on April 10, 2026. This is because the further process will be based on the feedback. Its results will be crucial for the future of millions of employees and pensioners.

The Commission is now preparing to gather information on the ground, rather than relying solely on paperwork. To this end, it has planned to visit various states. According to information released on March 30th, the Commission's first visit will be to Uttarakhand. During this visit, local institutions and organizations will be consulted and their suggestions will be sought, so that the final report can be prepared with more effectiveness and reality.

The Seventh Pay Commission's term ends on December 31, 2025. Therefore, the Eighth Pay Commission's recommendations are expected to be implemented from January 1, 2026.
