A unique temple in India where diabetes is treated, people come from far away places

Diabetes or sugar disease has become a common problem in today's time. Be it women or men, this disease has affected people of all ages and classes. If it is not treated on time, it hollows out the body from inside and weakens everything from nerves to bones. Even after getting treatment, lifelong medicines do not leave you. But it is said that if you have true faith in something, not only medicine but even God can take away your pain. With such hopes, people reach a special temple in Tamil Nadu which is called the temple that cures diabetes.

India's unique temple: where diabetes goes away

You must have heard about many temples in India which are famous for fulfilling wishes. But a temple which is known for curing a disease like diabetes seems a bit different and surprising. Located near Tiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu is the Venni Karumbeeswarar Temple, also known as the "God of Sugarcane". This temple has become a ray of hope for millions of people due to a unique belief.

Specialty of the temple: Unique form of Lord Shiva

Lord Shiva is worshipped in this temple but in this form he is called "Karumbeswarar" i.e. God of sugarcane. The Shivalinga here is made of sugarcane sticks. The devotees who come here are mostly diabetic patients. People offer sugar at the feet of the Lord and pray that they get relief from this disease.

Lakhs of people got relief, claim the devotees

According to influencer 'The Temple Girl' and social media posts, many people's sugar levels have decreased after visiting this temple. Some people's medication was reduced, some got relief after a long time and some have even claimed that their diabetes was completely cured. All of them believe that if one believes with a true heart, then God can remove every difficulty - even if it is a disease.

Ants and sugar level: A unique belief

Another interesting thing related to the temple is the relation of ants with sugar level. Here a special offering of semolina and sugar is offered to the Lord. This offering is scattered around the temple so that the ants come and eat it. It is believed that as the ants eat sugar, the sugar level in the devotee's body decreases. People believe this so much that the ants here are called "God's ants".

Doctors and scientists were also surprised

Hearing about this miracle, many doctors and scientists investigated the temple and its effects. They did blood sugar tests of those people who were suffering from diabetes earlier and after visiting the temple, they showed improvement. Some doctors believed that there really is some miraculous effect here and after coming here, the diabetes of some people really decreased.

Belief related to history: Ants protecting the temple

There is a popular mythological story related to the temple. It is said that when the Mughal rulers came to attack this temple, the ants here protected the temple. Devotees believe that these ants have divine power which not only protects the temple but also provides relief from diseases.
