After 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain' Star Malkhan’s Death, His Wife Faced Society’s Cruelty and Fought Alone for Son

It’s been three years since the sudden death of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain actor Deepesh Bhan, fondly known as Malkhan. His unexpected passing at just 41 in 2022 left fans, colleagues, and especially his family in deep shock. While his co-stars have paid tributes and moved forward, his wife Neha Bhan’s journey has been one of heartbreak, judgment, and immense strength.

A Shattering Loss

Deepesh collapsed while playing cricket one morning and later died of a brain hemorrhage. At the time, his son was just a year old. With no immediate support, Neha found herself alone—emotionally shattered and burdened with the future of her child.

Society’s Cruel Judgments

Neha opened up in a 2023 interview about how people didn't even let her grieve in peace. She was mocked for smiling, judged for her outfits, and criticized for stepping outside her home. Hurtful comments like “She should sit at home and mourn” or “It was an arranged marriage anyway” deeply wounded her.

Initially, Neha broke down under the pressure. But for her son, she found strength. Through yoga and meditation, she slowly rebuilt her emotional resilience and focused on creating a stable life.

Standing on Her Own Feet

Before her marriage, Neha had trained as a makeup artist, a career she had paused. After Deepesh’s death, she resumed her passion professionally and began working part-time jobs to support her son. Today, she’s working hard to secure a better future for him, rising against all odds.

Support from the Industry

A few people from the TV fraternity stood by her. Actress Saumya Tandon (Anita Bhabhi) offered emotional and financial support. Producer Binaifer Kohli and actress Shubhangi Atre also helped Neha during her darkest days.

Remembering Deepesh

On his third death anniversary, Saumya Tandon shared a heartfelt Instagram post with an old photo of the two on set, writing:
“You will always be in our hearts.”
Three years ago, she had written, “I can’t believe you’re gone. I miss your laughter and bad jokes. You had a heart of gold.”
