After suffering a strategic and diplomatic setback at the hands of India, Pakistan is now attempting to insert itself into the Iran-Israel conflict — and it's doing so with dangerous rhetoric. According to reports, Pakistan has issued a nuclear threat to Israel on behalf of Iran, raising serious concerns on the global stage.
Pakistan Warns Israel Through Iran
In a televised interview, Iranian National Security Council member Mohsen Rezai revealed that Pakistan sent a message to Iran, saying:
“If Israel drops nuclear bombs on Tehran, we will drop nuclear bombs on them.”
This shocking statement has drawn attention worldwide, as it suggests Pakistan is willing to intervene militarily in a war it’s not directly involved in, and escalate it to the nuclear level.
Nuclear Power Play: Pakistan vs Israel
Pakistan’s Nuclear Arsenal:
-
As per SIPRI and the Federation of American Scientists (FAS), Pakistan possesses an estimated 170 nuclear warheads (as of 2023).
-
Projections suggest the number may reach 200–250 warheads by 2025, with Pakistan continuing to expand its nuclear program.
Israel’s Nuclear Capability:
-
Israel maintains nuclear ambiguity, not confirming or denying its arsenal.
-
Estimates range from 90 to 300 nuclear weapons.
-
Despite secrecy, Israel is widely believed to possess second-strike capability through submarine-launched systems.
Neither Pakistan nor Israel is a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), making the exact scale of their arsenals speculative but significant.
From Pahalgam to Propaganda: Pakistan’s Shift
Just days ago, Pakistan was reeling from India’s Operation Sindoor, launched in retaliation for the deadly Pahalgam terror attack. India targeted multiple Pakistani cities over four days, delivering a blow to Pakistan’s military credibility.
Now, critics say Islamabad is trying to deflect internal instability and international embarrassment by aligning itself with Iran and posturing against Israel.
Why This Is Alarming
-
Pakistan’s economy is fragile, and its internal law and order remains unstable.
-
Despite that, it's now talking about nuclear war in the Middle East, a move that could backfire diplomatically and militarily.
-
Analysts warn that Pakistan’s nuclear bravado could drag the region into uncontrolled escalation, especially as Iran-Israel tensions simmer.
