Ahmedabad Police Commissioner G.S. Malik confirmed that a man seated on Seat 11A, identified as Ramesh Vishwas Kumar, was found alive at the crash site. Though severely injured, he was immediately rushed to Civil Hospital in Asarwa, Ahmedabad, where he is currently under treatment.
Ramesh, a 40-year-old British citizen of Indian origin, sustained serious injuries to his chest, eyes, and legs. Speaking to the media from his hospital bed, he said:
"Just 30 seconds after takeoff, I heard a loud noise, and everything went dark. I don’t remember much. When I woke up, I was surrounded by dead bodies. I don’t know how I survived. I just know that some people carried me to the hospital."
Ramesh Was Returning to London After Visiting Family
Ramesh revealed that he had recently visited his family in India and was flying back to London with his brother Ajay Kumar Ramesh. A resident of London for over 20 years, Ramesh’s wife and children still live in the UK. From his hospital bed, he has been pleading for help in locating his missing brother, fearing the worst.
