At the 25th edition of FICCI Frames 2025 held in Mumbai, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar humorously questioned Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis about his favorite way to eat oranges. Revisiting a moment from 2019 when Akshay went viral for asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi about eating mangoes, the actor lightheartedly asked Fadnavis, “Do you eat oranges peeled, or do you juice them in a blender?”

Fadnavis responded with his own twist, saying, “I eat it differently—I cut the orange in half, sprinkle salt on it, and then suck the juice like a mango.” Akshay Kumar laughed and said he learned something new and would definitely try this method.

The lively exchange was part of the two-day media and entertainment event that gathers industry leaders and visionaries from India and around the world to celebrate 25 years of shaping the media landscape. Akshay noted that this was only the second time he was interviewing a political leader, having previously interviewed the Prime Minister, adding a fun and engaging dimension to the serious event.
