A deeply disturbing case of gangrape and abduction has emerged from Alwar district in Rajasthan, where a married woman was allegedly kidnapped by seven men, gangraped in a moving car, and then held captive for nearly two weeks.

The incident took place in a village under the Bagad Tiraya police station area. The woman, who is married, was allegedly abducted on the night of 25 April 2025 while she had stepped out of her home around 9 pm. The assailants, traveling in a Bolero, reportedly took her near Paniyala Road and sexually assaulted her inside the vehicle.

Held Captive and Repeatedly Assaulted

According to the victim, when she resisted, the attackers gagged her with a cloth and continued to assault her. She was then kept hostage for 11 days at an undisclosed location, where she was raped repeatedly by the accused. During this time, the perpetrators also recorded obscene videos and threatened to circulate them on social media to silence her.

After 11 days, the accused allegedly dumped her by the roadside in an unconscious state. Somehow, she managed to return home and narrate the ordeal to her family.

Police Initially Refused to File Complaint

When the family approached the police to lodge a complaint, they were allegedly turned away. Facing inaction, the victim and her family approached the court. Only after a court order was an FIR registered on 2 June 2025. However, even weeks later, none of the accused have been arrested.

Ongoing Struggle for Justice

The victim continues to make rounds of police offices, seeking justice. The inaction by the local police has raised serious concerns about the handling of sexual violence cases and victim protection in rural areas.

This case underscores persistent issues in law enforcement response, victim support, and women’s safety, especially in areas where access to justice remains limited by institutional apathy.
