Apple has unveiled a major lineup of new devices at its September 2026 “Surprise and Shine” event at Apple Park in California. The biggest attraction was the iPhone Duo, the company's first foldable smartphone, marking Apple's entry into the rapidly expanding foldable-phone segment.

Apple also unveiled its new flagship iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Both models are powered by the A20 Pro processor, which is based on 2nm technology. Apple has also paired the processor with its in-house C2 5G modem as it continues to increase control over the core hardware inside its devices.

The company claims the new architecture can provide up to 40% faster sustained performance.

Another major feature is off-grid satellite SOS connectivity, aimed at providing emergency communication options when conventional cellular connectivity isn't available.

Health monitoring is at the centre of the Apple Watch Series 12.
